“After enjoying Aikido as a teenager for a short period, thirty odd years ago (give or take a few years!!) I’ve always been keen to revisit this Martial Art.

So I found Iwama Aikido Jersey and signed up to the introduction course and have enjoyed every second of it. The techniques we covered in this time are the basic foundations for Iwama Aikido. And although we just scratched the surface of this beautiful martail art, it makes me excited to study it more. The classes are relatively relaxed but also cover a lot of the technical moves, so a lot to take in sometimes but, it always comes together with Sensei Tim´s guidance. These classes have a lot to offer from meditation to self defence, weapons training sessions or just to keep fit in a friendly welcoming environment. My only issue is I wish there were more classes in the week! "
